There’s a side of my life that I’m so passionate about, but have yet to share on here. Working for a wedding planner is new, fun and different every single time. It requires patience, attention to detail and the ability to make everything look effortless. It is hard work and it is the most rewarding thing in the world.
Fortunately enough, I don’t work for just any wedding planner. I work for Jessica Sloane of Jessica Sloane Events and every time I work with her – I’m inspired. Jess has the ability to elevate any design element into something superior. Give her a couple of sticks, leaves and a stone surface and suddenly she’s designed an invitation suite worthy of Magnolia Rouge.
You would think on the weekends the last thing I’d want to do is work, but that’s just it. Weddings with Jess and the amazing team she’s put together don’t feel like work at all.
She’s been asked to give insight for Martha Stewart Weddings, exclusives for People Magazine and was featured as one of Southern Living’s “The South’s Best Wedding Planners.”
But I have to say, that nothing you read or see online will do her events any justice. It’s kind of like a sunset – pictures are beautiful, but when you see it in person, it takes your breath away.
With the 2017 Fall wedding season upon us, I took a minute to look back on a few of the amazing ones I was lucky enough to be a part of in 2016 and shared some highlights below. Hover over the images to find out the amazingly talented photographers who captured the moments. Florals for all of the weddings below were done by the wonderful, Melissa Broadwell of Vintage Florals.
