Cannon Wedding Photography Review

There aren’t enough good things to say about Cannon Weddings. We have worked with them throughout our entire wedding planning process and it literally feels like you are with friends every time they’re around. From the first meeting at Starbucks where they bought us coffee and we talked for hours about how we met, who we are as a couple and what we were wanting for our big day; to filling out our questionnaire one month prior to our wedding with all of our “must have” shot requests – they never ceased to make us feel important or special.

The first shoot we did with Becca Cannon was our engagement shoot at Radnor Lake State Park in Nashville (October 2018). I remember we left the shoot saying we felt like we had just been on a super fun date! There wasn’t a dull moment with Becca and she kept us laughing and feeling completely natural the entire time. With my experience working weddings and seeing such a myriad of photographers, my biggest pet peeve is when shoots feel SO POSED. It was something I was definitely worried about going into the first shoot for our wedding. Our experience was the complete opposite! It felt natural, relaxed and fun. Our engagement shoot photos depict us as a couple, completely. (Pro tip: you also get a discount on your engagement session if you book Cannon for your wedding!)

For our wedding day, we also added in Becca’s husband Kidron, who is the second half of Cannon Weddings! He is incredible and is the only videographer we found within a 100 mile radius who INCLUDES the usage of a drone for his package. We thought that was such a fun angle to add into the mix for our wedding day. The most amazing part about Becca and Kidron is their ability to effortlessly work together. Sometimes when you get photographer and videographers from different sides of the internet, they don’t mesh well during your big day. They don’t know how the other one works and it’s hard for them to move around one another during the big moments. I don’t think you could ask for a better duo than HUSBAND & WIFE!

We received so many compliments on them before we even got the photos back from our wedding day! People saying you could just tell they were amazing at what they do because they were never in the way; you seriously barely notice them, yet you get your pictures back and BAM! they captured every moment just as you remember it. They both brought an assistant for the day-of, which made them seamlessly being with Kyle and I separately, so effortless. Here are some moments I love that they captured at the same time, as we didn’t even know it:

We knew going into it all that we had a large bridal party (16 altogether) and that coordinating group shots might be hard, but dang did Becca nail it. She told everyone what to do and where to go without seeming bossy or putting people in any specific order; it made for an absolute perfect representation of our best friends and what it meant having them there next to us on our special day.

One thing specific that I mentioned to Becca was really wanting to focus on the details and get as many angles and combinations of things as we could without feeling like we were doing everything just for the pictures. Here are some of my other favorite shots from the day featuring details, different angles of the same moment, and candids that are seriously such moods.

I wish I could insert over 1,000 pics in this post, but let’s be honest; you’d get bored because they aren’t of you. Don’t worry, you can change that and have the wedding photos of your wildest dreams with this dream team (see what I did there).

We had the most amazing time working with Becca and Kidron & are planning a double date with them soon just because we miss them so much haha! We have recommended them to close friends more times than we can count & now it’s your turn to be in the loop!
