How to “Galentine’s” in Nashville: House of Adora Addition

According to Urban Dictionary, Galentine’s Day is celebrated on February 13, the day before that other made-up holiday (ahem, Valentine’s Day). It’s a day for celebrating the love you have for your lady friends, whether they’re single or not.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always down for celebrating my best friends. It’s even sweeter when we get to do it in a retro-chic, glam house in our own city and feel like we’re on a mini vacation for a little bit. House of Adora in Nashville is the most unique photo/ video/ writing space I’ve ever experienced. From it’s old victorian charm on the outside, it’s close proximity to Portland Brew (literally right across the street) and the 1963 airstream in the backyard, you can’t beat this East Nashville gem.

Maddie & I have a lot coming in 2020; business ventures we’re collabing on that we really needed new photos for (not sharing the cream of the crop below FYI, you’re gonna have to wait for those). We knew we wanted the vibe of our photos to be 70s and fabulous and so totally not us on the daily, so reaching out to the House of Adora on IG (@AdoraHouseNashville) seemed like the most natural fit. My go-to boss babe McKenzie Cook came to shoot for us and we honestly had such a blast.

Literally like the 12 days of Galentine’s we had six fur coats, five rooms to choose from, four pairs of booties, three pumped girls with balayage, two iced coffees and one pepperoni pizza… can you think of anything better? It was so much fun to play dress up, stuff our faces & live our best lives on a cloudy Sunday afternoon.

If you’re a Nashville local and you want to set aside a place to do a photoshoot, film a video, or write the next song on your EP, I can’t recommend the quirkiness and uniqueness of the House of Adora enough. You can look into booking the space HERE.

Showcased some highlights in this post and obsessed with what we got! Do you celebrate Galentine’s? What’s your favorite way to have fun with your girls? Find this post on Instagram and let me know in the comments:
