A Night at Pomelo Grove

Can confirm… not all who wander are lost. Kyle and I have been wanting to take a trip off the grid for quite some time now & quarantine made that even more of a desire. I don’t know if anyone else can relate, but being socially distanced from everyone has made us that much more connected to our devices. With our one-year anniversary coming up, we thought there would be no better way to celebrate than one night completely unplugged & out in nature (with a toilet & air conditioning – best of both worlds, people!)

After some searching we came across Pomelo Grove, a “glamping” experience right outside of Nashville at Bloomsbury Farm. A few messages with owner Erin later, we were booked to stay & what an amazing experience it was! From the welcome cocktail, to the anniversary spread of chocolates, wildflowers, & champagne, the thoughtful touches were heartwarming & elevated the entire stay. The inside of the camper is nicer than some new-Nashville construction from a completely tiled shower, to a padded breakfast nook, & queen-sized memory foam bed!

Erin & Pomelo truly provide everything that’s needed for your perfect stay in nature. There’s an induction stove, mini fridge/freezer, running water, air conditioning/ heat, a charcoal grill, record player, board games, I could talk forever & it really wouldn’t do this place justice! We cooked dinner that we brought the supplies for & ate inside at the kitchen table because it was raining a little. After dinner we had some beers around the fire-pit outside & used our complimentary s’mores kit.

This night was just what we needed to reset & refresh. If you’re in Nashville, or looking to come to the area, a stay at Pomelo is something I think everyone needs to experience at least once! While still close to the city, Pomelo Grove is the ultimate secluded oasis without the “roughing it” part of camping that some of us have a hard time adjusting to (blame it on my youth). Here’s some photos of our stay so you can get a better idea & also because they’re just SO DANG BREATHTAKING! Take note of the little details because those are really what it make it all the more special!

xx

  1. What?! Who would have thought inside this cabin would be so spacious AND pretty! It looks so cozy. Perfect for a quiet getaway. I love nature and new adventures and I’d love to experience this some time.

On a scale of 1 to Well Worth It... What did you think?
