You know by now how much I love shopping local and supporting Nashville businesses. With the draft in town (and pretty much every other event under the sun) I think it’s important for tourists and locals alike to know about the non-traditional outlets to get their favorite 615 gear.
I am always so inspired by those who take their career path in their own hands and do something that’s worth talking about; just like Joey Graham of FWD Clothing Company. My feelings about this brand tie directly in with their mission – “inspire others to do more”. @FWDClothing on Instagram, I was a huge fan of their aesthetic from the start, but I really connected when I saw them pop-up on 12 South during a busy Saturday last month. Everything about their set-up screamed Nashville and even from a far, their clothes looked stylish and practical (two of my favorite things)…
Their team consists of owner/ founder, Joey Graham & creative director, Joe Minham. In addition to their clothing line, they also have a podcast called the FWD Lifestyle. Basically making you feel like you’re hanging out on the back of a boat in the middle of a lake with your buds on a Sunday in August.
All of this being said, I was super psyched with Joey sent some merch my way to try out and even more pumped when I opened the package. I was so surprised by their attention to detail when sending the merch my way.
My new favorite work out shirt is the “Retro Ladies Crop Tee” that blends style with comfort into the cutest shirt, that I feel like I can wear to workout and not have to go home and change before running to lunch with friends. This crop is light and airy, true-to-size, extremely soft and unlike most crops, doesn’t show your belly button off to the world unless you want to raise your hands high and make it happen.
Another one in the bundle was the “Nashville Skyline Tee” in red (my fav color). This tee is definitely unisex and great for those days you want to throw your unwashed hair in a flip bun, toss on some jean shorts and be out the door before you remember to go back and brush your teeth… but people will still comment on how “laid back” and “cute” you look. That’s what I got all day at work when I worse this and honestly I felt like I was in my pj’s.
Everything about this brand screams Nashville. It shouts attention to detail. It yells quality. Basically, you can’t get it to shut up and just want to buy everything you see. I cannot say enough good things about these clothes or the guys behind them! Right now if you visit their website and sign up for their newsletter, you’ll receive 10% off your first order. I highly suggest you do it before they sell out from the rest of the world being in town this weekend…
